Hello. I’m Crystal, you’re reading my blog, and if you don’t know me there’s probably no context so I’ll help.

I live in Orange County Los Angeles, California with my boyfriend Hung, while he is finishing up nursing school, a brand new career path for him. As he struggles in the world of academia, again, I’m trying to find my way around this whole career thing. Until recently I worked in politics, and although I enjoyed my time in it immensely, I’ve begun running my own freelancing and consulting business in web design for politicians and small businesses. It’s starting small but it’s getting there.

In my free time, which is the time I use to procrastinate and not work on my business you can probably find me doing a plethora of activities. Usually I’m just at my computer listening to music, playing video games, chatting with friends, and reading my favorite blogs like a mad woman. The blogs usually encompass my interests and I have a lot of interests: technology, web development trends, fooding (find me on Yelp), current events, and politics. There’s usually other obsessions spattered in that are temporary, for instance right now it’s hybrid bicycles and badminton. Which racquet to get? Which bicycle to buy to commute? I obsessively check reviews and forum posts like a nerd.

Some other tidbits are that I’m Vietnamese-American though I grew up in a predominantly white area. I have kept a blog in some form since 1998 (which I’ve lost records of) went to the University of California-Irvine, miss my pets, want a dog, have a loving family, am somewhat messy, have a weird sense of humor, am quirky, amazing friends, am addicted to instant messaging, and can sleep all day if cuddled. I also added camera equipment to my ridiculous gadget repertoire and photography to the catalog of interests. (Flickr)
